Simplify the complicated EMC measurement and debugging! The continuous integration and complication of consumer electronics have produced numerous electromagnetic radiation sources. EMC tests can ensure various electronics products’ safety and effectiveness. In order to reduce the development cost and shorten development time, more and more companies are now focusing on EMC planning at the preliminary design phase. In addition to sending products to the lab, they are also looking for or try to establish an EMC solution which is cost effective and test effective diagnosis method. GW Instek introduces the latest and comprehensive EMC pre-compliance testing solution to meet customers’ requirements of EMC conduction and radiation testing during product development and verification stages. The EMC pre-compliance testing mode is ideal for electronics product development. With this solution, users can resolve problems at the earliest phase to avoid reconfiguration once the product development was finalized. Reducing product development cycles and verification laboratory fees are conducive to expediting the process of product verification and launch time. For different test categories, GW Instek provides different test packages, |

SpectrumShot – EMI dedicated function, Users can use the external software SpectrumShot for EMI test report management and assessment. Users can select the required CISPR EMI regulation for conduction and radiation measurement. |
02 | GKT-008 EMI Near Field Probe Set |
GKT-008 EMI Near Field Probe Set comprises four probes, including PR-01, PR-02, ANT-04, and ANT-05. The antenna factors of these four probes are built in the EMC Pretest function of the GSP-9330 spectrum analyzer. ANT-04 and ANT-05 are EMI magnetic field probes, which can maximally sustain 50Vdc. ANT-04 and ANT-05 magnetic field probes will collocate with ADB-008 DC block to avoid damaging spectrum analyzer and the RF input terminal of DUT receiver. PR-01 is an AC voltage probe, which can maximally sustain CAT II, 300VAC. PR-01 AC voltage probe will collocate with GPL-5010 transient limiter and BNC (M) to SMA (F) adapter to avoid damaging spectrum analyzer and the RF input terminal of DUT receiver. PR-02 is an EMI electric field probe, which can maximally sustain CAT I 50V DC. PR-02 electric field probe will collocate with ADB-008 DC block to avoid damaging spectrum analyzer and the RF input terminal of DUT receiver. |
03 | GLN-5040A Two-Line V-Network(LISN) |
GLN-5040A Two-Line V-Network(LISN) that met CISPR16-1-2:2006 standard is a required product for EMI conduction testing. Built-in transient limiter and fixed 10dB attenuator to effectively protect spectrum analyzer.Built-in 150 KHz high pass filter switch to prevent spectrum analyzer or DUT receiver overload caused by low-frequency high amplitude signals. 50 Ω output impedance and BNC output adaptor can collocate with spectrum analyzer. Provide stable impedance for DUT and reference ground under testing frequency range. Isolate the interfering signals produced by city electric power from the testing circuit to provide pure DC and AC power to DUT. |
04 | GIT-5060 isolated transformer (Discontinued) |
Before connecting LISN, users can connect a GIT-5060 isolated transformer as the following diagram to balance grounding L and N phase current by ELCB function in order to realize a safe grounding. Under the necessary circumstances, GIT-5060 can be used if isolated transformer is required. It can maximally sustain consecutive current of 4A and its maximum capacity is 900VA that satisfies most testing requirements. |
05 | GPL-5010 Transient Limiter |
Why do you need a transient limiter? Large transient signals will enter spectrum analyzer if the system experiences unexpected power outage or sudden errors from power supply terminal. For an unstable system, a transient limiter can disrupt large signals and prevents them from going into equipment to cause damage. |
