A network analyzer can help the complex, or the vector, S parameter measurements. As I mentioned previously, a spectrum analyzer can only do scalar measurement, and the scalar measurement is the total results of the incident and the reflected waves. But if your application is for testing bandwidth or gain of component at both ends matched, spectrum analyzer can be helpful as network analyzer.

Yes, the whole GSP830 is for 2-port measurements only. For three-port components, like mixers, you need another source or signal generator to help.

Q3 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png Do these have the ability to do S parameter or complex impedance for RF testing of components or systems?

With the Return Loss Bridge and the TG option, the GSP-830 can do scalar S11 measurement. However, the GSP830 cannot do vector S parameter measurement.

Yes, you can have a screen shot and save it in a USB flash through the USB port on the front panel of the GSP-830. The picture is saved in JPG format.
