Q1 | For VCF (Voltage Control Frequency) Application |
For VCF (Voltage Control Frequency) Application:For VCF (Voltage Control Frequency) Application:
Case 1: A/D Conversion with a Microcontroller
Case 2: TEMPERATURE METER
Case 3: TELEMETRY
Q2 | AFG-3000 built-in output impedance switching function, how to do this function?? |
AFG-3000 built-in 50 Ohm / high impedance switch. The 50 ohm is AFG-3000's original design, and high impedance is from calculation by software. This function is mainly to facilitate users in calculating and output data conversion, if users needs more precise data, users need to find their own 50-ohm impedance matching circuit for the hardware.
Q3 | How about the USB flash size support? |
Now we have tested some of the size of 16GB or smaller size, most of them can use on AFG-3000, but if the customer can not use, please tell us the USB brand / capacity, we can try to solve them.
Q4 | I have see the Sinc/Exp Full/Exp Rise/DC function on datasheet, but I don't know how to operation. |
AFG-3000 built-in standard waveforms, Sine / Square / Triangle / Pulse / Ramp / Noise is directly under you can get in the Waveform but Sinc / Exp full / Exp rise / DC functions are built-in arbitrary waveform (ARB ), the customer needs to use in this mode.
Q5 | What is the maximum frequency of a triangle wave less than sine and square waves for all DDS type function generators? |
In order to have straight charge and a discharge curve of a triangle wave, the essential amount of data points is less than sine and square waves. In the case of insufficient data points for the triangle wave, a low pass filter makes it look like a sine wave.
Q6 | What are the minimum voltage and resolution for GWInstek’s 3MHz DDS function generator SFG-1013 with specifications including attenuator as -40dB±1dB X1 amplitude accuracy as ±20% at maximum position? |
The minimum voltage for this DDS function generator is 1V x 0.01 = 0.01V = 10 mV. And its amplitude resolution is -40dB±1dB X1 amplitude accuracy as ±20% at maximum position.
Q7 | AFG-3000 provided by the DSO Link used for? |
DSO Link enables the AFG-3000 to receive lossless data from a GDS-2000 Series DSO to create ARB data. Connect the AFG-3000 USB host port to the GDS-2000’s USB B device port.
Q8 | How can I capture the image I am working on the AFG-3000 screen? |
AFG-3000 is able to capture screen shots and save them to a USB flash drive, first, Insert a USB key into the USB port on the front panel, then press UTIL > System(F5) > F1(Hardcopy)
Q9 | What kind of online help does the AFG-3000 provide? |
The on-screen help is including keypad, Create Arbitrary Waveform, Modulation function, Sweep Function, Burst Function, DSO Link, Hardcopy.
Q10 | What language support of AFG-3000? |
The AFG-3000 can be operated in either English or Simplified Chinese. By default, the language is set to English.
Q11 | How to updating the AFG-3000 Firmware Version? |
To update the firmware, insert a USB flash drive with a firmware file in the USB host drive. Press Util > Cal.(F3) >Software(F2) > Upgrade (F2).To update the firmware, insert a USB flash drive with a firmware file in the USB host drive. Press Util > Cal.(F3) >Software(F2) > Upgrade (F2).
Note. The firmware file (*.bin) must be located in a directory named UPGRADE, directly off the USB root directory. UPGRADE must be all capitals.
Q12 | How to see the system information of AFG-3000? |
The path of system information is Util > Cal.(F3) >Software(F2) > Version (F1), the version information will be shown on screen: Instrument, Version, FPGA Revision, Bootload version.
