Q1 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png The input signal does not appear on the display.

Check the following setting. A. The coupling mode is not set at the GND mode, in which the waveform does not appear on the display. Please refer our user manual page 22 for details. B. The appropriate trigger source is selected. Please refer our user manual page 19 for details.

Q2 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png The TV trigger does not work.

Make sure that the video synchronization signal is positive. The TV–V /TV–H trigger works only when the synchronization signal is negative.

Q3 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png The frequency counter in the LCD display does not work.

Make sure that the TRIG ALT switch is not pressed. The Frequency counter does not work in the alternate trigger mode.

Q4 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png The alternate trigger(TRIG ALT switch)does not work.

Make sure that the ALT/CHOP switch is released(ALT position). The TRIG ALT switch does not work in CHOP mode.

Q5 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png The trace line does not appear on the display.

Make sure that the trigger mode is in the AUTO mode. In the NORMAL mode, the trace does not appear unless a trigger condition occurs.

Q6 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png The probe waveform is distorted.

You might need to compensate the probe. For details please reference our user manual. Note that frequency accuracy and duty factor are not specified for the probe compensation waveform and therefore it should not be used for reference purpose.

Q7 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png Sampling frequency of the input signal is very low.

Try using the external clock so that the acquiring period is extended. Here is the frequency range for internal and external clock. Internal :100Hz ~ 200MHz External :0.001Hz ~ 150MHz

Q8 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png Trigger condition does not occur.

Make sure trigger threshold matches signal setting. If the trigger condition is too complex, simplify the setting to make it easier for data capturing.

Q9 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png A large amount of data (more than 32 M bit)is required.

Use the Data compression feature>It uses lossless compression technique so there will be no data loss. Please refer user manual for details.

Q10 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png GLA does not capture signal, or the result is inaccurate.

Check all signal connections, including the ground terminal, are secure. USB both 2 GND cables for stable ground connection. Make the distance between GLA and device under test as short as possible. The sampling rate has to be more than four times that of the signal frequency. Regarding trigger: make sure the trigger threshold matches the signal settings. Trigger counter and trigger page should not be too large. If the external clock is used, the clock rate might be to low, especially if the internal clock captures signals.

Q11 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png The message 〝Hardware connection failed〞pops up.

Make sure GLA is powered up and pressing the Retry button. Disconnect / reconnect USB cable. Do not use extension cable for USB. Make sure GLA and PC are connected by a single USB cable.

Q12 gw_product_detail_bar.png gw_product_detail_bar.png The USB is slow, through the PC is USB 2.0 compatible.

Make sure the cable is compatible with 2.0 high speed (Use the attach one).
